Born on the Australian estate and has lived in the East Ipswich area all his life, you cant get much more local than that. He was educated at Britannia Primary school, Northgate Grammar School as well as the Suffolk College and over the years he has witnessed massive change and development in the East Ipswich area. Well qualified for entry into the estate agency profession, having previously worked in the planning department at Suffolk Coastal District Council dealing with the original planning applications for the very same housing developments that are so much a part of theof the East Ipswich & villages area. Having worked for several years for a large corporate estate agency in Ipswich he became disillusioned with their true objectives and started his own business in 1991/92 to offer a level of customer and client service that cannot possibly be matched by a much larger company. His lifelong campaign to see the public having a much higher opinion of the estate agency profession which has seen him previously having been Chairman of the Guild of Independent Estate Agents and Chairman of the North East Essex Consumers and House Moving Panel. More recently he has appeared as a property expert on Channel 4 and on the front page of the East Anglian Daily Times. Although he manages the occasional game of golf as a member at Rushmere, these days Jonathan devotes much of his limited spare time to his family.
Jane has over 18 years lettings experience under her belt covering all aspects of the lettings process and has been with Jonathan Waters Estate Agents for 14 of those years. When Jane set up the lettings division of Jonathan Waters, she was adamant that the department would not be viewed as the poor relation to the sales side, as can often happens in larger estate agents and, as such, takes a first hand role in the department to ensure that all our landlords get the highest customer service possible. Jane takes her responsibility of looking after her landlord's investments very seriously and whether you are an investment landlord with several properties, or a first time buy-to-let with one property, you are treated with the same degree of service - a service you rightly deserve.
Charmaine has over 8 years estate agency experience in both sales and lettings. Her knowledge of the entire lettings process is key to the smooth running of the Buttermarket office and, together with her sales experience, gives both experienced and new landlords the assurance that they are in good hands. Charmaine, in her capacity of the Manager of the Buttermarket branch, oversees all the buy-to-let investors, keeping a keen eye on the best return for our clients investments.
